Landscape Laborer

Job Description

Gem State Staffing in Twin Falls is now recruiting reliable Landscape Workers of all skill levels for full-time position of landscape care and landscape construction projects. Experience Required!

Job Duties:

  • Perform labor activities including but not limited to lawn mowing, spraying for pests and weed control, digging holes, trenching, shoveling rock, pulling weeds, and other labor-intensive tasks.
  • Installation of landscapes including planting, native turf seeding, erosion control, rough/fine grading, mulch, and soil amendments. 
  • Installation of complete irrigation systems including assembly and testing. 
  • Perform site preparation including removal of vegetation, debris, rock, concrete, soil removal and general site clean-up. 
  • Installation of retaining walls, pavers, flagstone, decorative rock, and a variety of other landscape construction activities.
  • Perform all tasks associated with completion of landscape construction projects.

 

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Have landscape industry experience in Land / Lawn / Landscape industry
  • Able to use and learn a variety of skills sets such as safe use of equipment, landscaping techniques, proper irrigation system assembly, and safe vehicle use.  
  • Able to use equipment required to complete all projects. i.e. shovels, rakes, sledgehammers, pickaxes, soil compactors, weed eaters, chain saws, hand augers, wheelbarrows, skid steer, tractors, seed drills, trenchers, pressure washers, tank and backpack sprayers, etc. 
  • Perform site preparation including removal of vegetation, debris, rock, concrete, soil removal and general site clean-up.
  • Ability to perform work outdoors in all weather conditions, and for extended periods of time. 
  • Able to work safely and follow all safety protocols. 
  • Must have valid drivers license.
  • Must have Spray license. 
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds without assistance.
  • Must be able to bend, twist, crouch and stoop frequently over the course of a day.
  • Must be comfortable lifting 50+ lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must be available for full-time work.
  • Must be able to travel outside of the Magic Valley area and out-of-state continuously and for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
